Good News All Around...

We found out yesterday that the current rent house we live has been rented out so we will be able to break our lease and still retain all our deposits. GOOD NEWS!!!! Looks like we will be in our new house by June 1. We are so excited. We love the house and are already planning the improvements we want to make. First is interior paint. We went and picked out paint samples today. Everything so far is going smoothly. We are also going to get new coffee table and end tables for the living room, as well as, new nightstands for our bedroom. I am just hoping we can get it all done by the time we need to move so that we won't have to be painting after we move in.

Reason # 589,258,145,389 I hate insurance companies...

They somehow got such an ego that they now tell YOUR DOCTOR that your child does not need a certain medication that YOUR DOCTOR (the one that went to med school and has seen your children in person and knows their medical conditions) deems necessary.

grrrrrrrrrr...

Explosions...

It is never a good thing when you hear your child scream with terror from another room, "MOOOOOOOOOOOOM, Come quick."

I run to the room (where Chase and Brodie have been playing). Brodie has a twisted up look on his face and is pointing at Chase.

Chase exploded.

Now, I like to think of myself as a seasoned Mom. But, this was the kind of explosion that I thought only happened in comedy movies. Apparently during their playtime Chase somehow got half his diaper undone...and then he decided he would have a poop session too. You get the idea.

I won't eve go into how long it took me to get it out from between his toes. And the carpet...well let's just say I am really glad we have carpet shampooer. Luckily, my morning sickness isn't too bad today or it could have been even more messy!

Quickly...

Things are moving along quickly. We have found a house that we are going to move in this summer. This is a huge relief, but we are cautious as we still have to deal with the house we are in. We are praying the timing of everything works out. The new house is just what we were looking for and we were able to negotiate a lot with it.

My morning sickness is still kicking my butt and is totally unpredictable. I am completely wiped out, so I am off to throw a load of laundry in the washer and watch a movie with the boys. Jason is over at the neighbors for a UFC party so I may even go to bed early.

Friday Feast..

I haven't done one of these in a while...thought I would today.

Appetizer
What is your favorite kind of bread?

Don't make me choose!!!! I love bread. Especially french bread dipped in olive oil with garlic!

Soup
When was the last time you bought a new pillow?

Just a week ago. I LURVE IT!

Salad
Approximately how many hours per week do you spend surfing the ‘net?

I refuse to admit the number.

Main Course
What’s the highest you remember your temperature being?

102.7 right after I had Brodie. Stupid infection!

Dessert
Fill in the blanks: When I ____________, I _____________.

When I throw up, I want to die! (Morning sickness sucks!)

Being an adult sucks sometimes...

The downside of Jason's new job is of course that we will be moving. It was hard decision for us to make. We are settled in this area and have friends and such. We love our church (we will still be driving over for church for the time being) and we know many of our neighbors. Brodie and Austin love playing with the girls next door, in fact Brodie is over there right now. When our sign went up in our yard the other day announcing to the neighborhood that this house was going to be available soon we got MANY knocks on the door. Our neighbors next door were saddest of all.

We could have gotten a bigger house in this area...so the new baby wasn't a factor. What was the biggest factor was that I am selfish. Since we moved to the Dallas area we have always lived VERY close to Jason's work (walking distance). I like having him home at a decent time every night. I like that if I need him he can be home in 2 minutes. I like that when he gets off work he doesn't still have a 30 minute commute. We value our family life more than anything. So...that is why we are moving. Granted, we are moving less than 20 miles away and will still be in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It is still a big change.

One of the girls who lives next door just turned five....I love what she said to her mom about our move.

"We may no longer be living near each other, but we will always be together in Christ." Blew me away.

The News...

Well, as I said in the last post we got some EXCELLENT news yesterday. As my family knows, Jason has been looking for a new job for the last few months. He has lost all job satisfaction at his current job since his old boss left in December. Even though he moved to a new position it has just been shitty (for lack of a better word). He first interviewed with a very promising company back in early March and had since gone back in several times . Yesterday we got the call that he was being offered the position. Jason was SO happy. Funny enough, when we got the call we were out looking for houses in the area of this new job. (We were believing by faith the job was his) Jason was excited to be able to go in this morning and tell his current company where to stick it (OK, so he will just give his notice, but if anyone knows what Jason does and the details of his job then you know how screwed this company is now). This new job is such a big step for Jason and we are ecstatic (not to mention the raise that came with it). So, now he will be commuting to work everyday until we can get moved. He starts in two weeks. And Shana, it is a LITTLE closer to you! :-)

Hubby Time...

My hubby took a few days off so I have been enjoying having him home and haven't been around much. We are house hunting and we have really good news, but it has to be shared a bit later.

I have good days and bad days with the nausea, the last few days have been bad days, but I am managing. It is different than with Chase. With Chase I was just nauseous all the time. Now, I am fine and then all of a sudden it hits me like a ton of bricks. Not fun!

Stop the Mommy Madness...

Recent articles in the news have reminded me how much I hate the so-called "Mommy Wars". Being a mother is hard enough without feeling attacked at every turn by other mothers. I was going to write a lengthy post about this until I read THIS on Beth Moore's blog. It was so precious to me. I suggest all mothers read it!!!

And remember, just because one mother does things different than you doesn't mean she is doing it wrong. What works for one family doesn't always work for others!

Questions...

Here are a few of the most popular questions Jason and I have been asked since announcing this pregnancy:

Q: Are you hoping for a girl this time?
A: We don't care. No one believes us, but really we don't. If we have another boy fantastic, if we have a girl, great.

Q: Are you feeling sick?
A: I have good days and bad days. My doctor went ahead and gave me a script for Zofran since I lost so much weight the first trimester of my pregnancy with Chase. We will see...it is still early.

Q: Pregnant during the summer...are you dreading that?
A: No, I think it is awesome to be swollen and hot and sweaty all at the same time. Thanks for reminding me. (Brodie was an August baby, so this isn't new for me)

Q: Are you guys going to move?
A: YES! As soon as possible. Our neighbors have five daughters and live in a house smaller than ours. They are nuts. We are crowded as it is. We have to wait for a few things to work themselves out first (nothing major, it just will decide WHERE we move). We need at least one more bedroom, preferable TWO!

Q: Wouldn't it be funny if you had twins?
A: Funny for who? And no, there is only one.

Q: Are you going to breastfeed this baby too or since you just got done are you going to just do bottles?
A: I have to say I have been surprised how many times I have gotten asked this question. The answer is, of course I am going to breastfeed. I have nursed all three of my boys and wouldn't miss out on the opportunity again. It is a great gift to be able to do that for your child. (this is just my opinion)

Q: Who is having the surgery to prevent another pregnancy?
A: One hint...the surgery will be done just before I deliver...so you take a guess.

Q: Will you find out if it is a boy or girl?
A: Oh you betcha!

Easter...

It was completely impossible to get all three boys to sit for a picture. They had eggs on the brain. Easter was good. Saturday night we had dinner with my aunt and grandparents. Jason and I worked in the nursery at church on Sunday. All the little girls had on their frilliest dresses. They were adorable.

Easter also marks my spiritual birthday. Easter week 2003 was when I became born again. So every year around this time I remind myself of what a wreck I was before Christ became the center of my life. I don't ever want to return to that.

I hope everyone else had a good Easter weekend.

New Pictures...

I have been horrible about uplaoding pictures lately, but we are always taking them. There are bunch of new ones uploaded to Flickr...click HERE to see.

Ultrasound...

We had our ultrasound yesterday afternoon. The baby is looking well, the heart rate was where it should be. Austin got to see the "little jellybean". He was very excited. From the ultrasound they have determined my due date to be November 16. So, guess we won't be going anywhere for Thanksgiving this year!

Oh yes, the most important thing they found is that there is only ONE baby...no twins.

Know any good "D" names?

As some of you have figured out...I have not been feeling well lately. And yes, we are expecting a brand new baby this fall. I was going to wait to announce it until we have the ultrasound on Thursday, but I have to explain the constant "sicks". (I have thrown up three times today...fun times).

No, we were not planning it. I was on the pill and I just finished nursing Chase 4 weeks ago. Not exactly my kind of timing, but it is going to be perfect. Chase will have a sibling close in age to him and that will be great. This also puts to bed any doubts about how many kids we want. Four is it for me....there will be surgery involved to insure that. Yes, this does put a kink in school plans, but I am very go with the flow. I had my first OB appointment this morning and my doctor was ecstatic to see me back. Everything is looking good. I have NO idea how far along I am. We are GUESSING that I am about 6-8 weeks, just by when the nausea started. I have not had a real period since October (you so wanted to know that) since I was nursing and on the pill. WE have an ultrasound on Thursday to more accurately date my due date.

So, now that I have spilled the beans I am off to bed.

Random Update...

My in laws were in town this weekend, hence the silence. We made a last minute decision to send Brodie home to Lubbock with them for the week. My grandparents are coming in for Easter weekend and will bring him back. It will be an interesting week. This is the first time since Brodie was born that Austin and Brodie have been apart for more than a day or so.

In other news, I haven't been feeling well and my energy is in the toilet. Explanations coming this week.
