We are all moved in...have been since Saturday night. My in laws kick ass, just in case you wanted to know. They seriously worked so hard all weekend along with Jason. I felt like a bum because I wasn't allowed to do much AND I still got yelled at by my OB today for doing too much (I pulled my side on Friday). We are still living amid boxes and chaos...but it is getting there.
Austin and Brodie are in Lubbock now for a few weeks. Chase is undergoing sleep training. Jason will be at a work conference this weekend. And I.....well I am just here. More to come I promise. Don't let me forget to tell you why we know where the nearest Urgent Care is located.
Fun times folks.

The Model of Adult Maturity...
Actual conversation that just transpired...
Brodie (crying): Clara (neighbor, 5 years old) told me I can't play ninja the way I want to.
Me: Brodie, I have told you a million times. Clara isn't the boss and you can play however you want to.
Brodie: But, MOOOOOM. She just keeps yelling at me.
*I escort Brodie outside*
Brodie (to Clara): My mom said I can play ninja how I want.
Clara: Nu uh...ninjas aren't real.
Me (to Clara): Who died and made you boss??
OK seriously....I had nothing better to come back with than that???

You are HOW old?!?!
Yesterday was Jason's birthday. He will totally deny it if you ask him (and I won't be the one to tell you he is 31 now). I took the opportunity to get an updated pic of all my boys. Notice the car book on the back of the couch. We can't be bothered to remove all distractions.
I have said it before and I will say it again. Jason is the best thing that ever happened to me and my boys.
I love you honey!!!!!!

Comments and a funny...
This picture made me laugh.
If you have left a comment in the last few days you might notice it is now gone. Sorry, that happened when I switched back over to Haloscan comments. Sorry, but it works better for me!

Things that have very little to do with each other...
I have so much randomness going on in my head lately...so you get a random post.
* I am ashamed of the lack of cooking I have been doing lately. Seriously....bad. I love to cook, but we have been so busy it has just not happened. In fact, half my kitchen is already at the new house. After next week I can get back to my cooking normal (5-6 times a week).
* I was thinking about what I said the other day about this pregnancy being so unnoticeable. Well, I forget about the fact that I have been unbearably tired for the last month and half. I just forget that is part of pregnancy too.
* How did a brand new jar of Miracle Whip disappear? I just bought some...now it is gone. How am I supposed to eat my sandwich without it?
* I have been on a cereal kick lately. Crispix has made up two meals of my day today.
* It may seem insane, but we are keeping our family physician once we move. We will drive 20 miles to see him...cause he rocks. He is just so awesome with our kids. He also always asks how the pregnancy is going and asks about Jason at every visit. I have had too many mediocre doctors and we found a good one.
* If someone waves at you when you are out in your front yard do you wave back? This seems to be a lost pleasantry.
* I have an obsession with the movie Sweet Home Alabama. I am not afraid to admit it. I have it recorded on DVR and have watched it every time I fold laundry (I am on a laundry craze right now). I cry every time when she is talking to her dead dog at the cemetery too. Poor Bear! Of course my watching it has NOTHING to do with Josh Lucas being yummy! NOOOOO!
* On that note, pregnant women should be banned from television. Weird crap makes us cry. I CRIED...I mean sobbing cried...watching Planet Earth (if you have not watched any of these, you need too). It wasn't even a sad part.
...More randomness to come, but right now my children call!

Lord help me...
I am in so much trouble. I knew the day would come, but so soon? It is official...Austin and Brodie are babe magnets.
Our doorbell rang while the boys were getting ready for bed. I answered. Standing at the door was a VERY pretty...VERY leggy girl asking for my two oldest. I know her. Her dad lives in the neighborhood and she comes every other week. The boys sometimes play with her and the other kids in the neighborhood. This was the first time I have seen her up close. Y'all....she is in FIFTH grade. Oh I am in TROUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weird Pregnancy...
This pregnancy has been weird for me. To be honest...90% of the time I forget I am pregnant. I am showing, but not too noticeably (especially with this being my 4th kid). Most people can't tell yet. My nausea is gone for the most part. We have been so busy that is just doesn't register most of the time. Maybe when I start showing I will have more to say about the pregnancy. As of today I am already starting my second trimester and well.....I don't know.

Monkeying Around...
Kree and I took the boys to the zoo today. She has been keeping my nephew, Cason this week and we thought it would be fun to make a trip out. Austin was so excited because I let him play hooky from school.
We had to much fun, but we are pooped!
I did notice something today...well every time we go anywhere like this I notice this actually. I have GREAT kids! They never pushed any other kids, they didn't whine, they weren't rude. I just have really good kids. I take total credit!! (yea right)

Crappiness of the Blog...
Pardon the crappiness of the blog design going on here. When Google permanently switched Blogger over to the new one it messed up some stuff and I don't have the energy to fool with it right now to get it like I want. So you get this crap-tastic thing for now. Enjoy my dears!

Reconnect...
I have been thinking about how honored I am that so many of our family members made the trip down here for Chase's big weekend. It seriously blew me away when I looked down that LOOOOOONG table at lunch on Sunday and realized how many people were sitting there. I had a cousin there who works in Africa and during his few weeks home he chose to come down so my grandmother wouldn't have to drive alone. I had an aunt, uncle and cousin who came from Arkansas. I had not seen my cousin since my wedding. Not to mention all of our family from Lubbock.
Truth be told, I have felt very disconnected from my family for about the last year. Not my parents, but the extended family. Part of it is distance for sure. But, I have lived A LOT farther away before and something has changed. Maybe it is age, or the fact that I have three kids to care for. I am not sure. I feel like everything I know about my family comes from info passed along from my mom. I absolutely HATE that my nephew has no idea who I am. I wish I could go see him more, but I have kids of my own to take care of and I know that my brother and sister-in-law know that. It is just hard to grow apart from people you have always been close to. I know that God placed Jason and I in the Dallas area. We have been confirmed again and again that this is where our family needs to be (for soooo many reasons).
I guess this weekend just reminded me that even though I may not be the one everyone calls, or the one that knows everything, or even the one that knows MOST things...my family still cares and loves me. THAT is what is important. I am going to make it a point to write and call as often as I can. I may be busy, but I don't want to look back in 5 years and realize I have missed everything.

BIG BIG Weekend...
We are in total recovery mode...
We had a very big, busy weekend. This weekend was Chase's 1st birthday as well as his dedication at church. Saturday was the big party and Chase was such the little ham eating up all the attention he could. Sunday we had him dedicated at church. We had 22 people at lunch afterward..we kept the wait staff busy busy. I was so glad that so much of our family was able to come. It was a great weekend, but we are very tired now. There are many many more pictures to be posted on Flickr and here. I am waiting to get some more from a few people!
I hope you all hugged your mom this weekend!!!

The Sunday Paper...
This is what happens when an almost one year old discovers he has been left alone with the Sunday newspaper. Left alone for 2 seconds.
THEN, Austin and Brodie taught him how to "surf" on the papers by running and sliding on the carpet. Chase found this very funny. Even when he fell on his butt.
Boys...

MIA...
Did you think I abandoned you?
As you can see from the above picture we have been very busy. We....are....exhausted. We have spent the last several days painting our new house. I just typed a long post about it all, but Blogger ate it, so now you only get the short version.
We also have a big weekend coming up. Sunday is Chase's first birthday and he is being dedicated at church. We are having a party for him Saturday and have a TON of people coming into town. So, in the midst of my moving boxes we will celebrate.
I promise to at least TRY to be better about posting this week. Jason starts his new job tomorrow!!!!!

Good News All Around...
We found out yesterday that the current rent house we live has been rented out so we will be able to break our lease and still retain all our deposits. GOOD NEWS!!!! Looks like we will be in our new house by June 1. We are so excited. We love the house and are already planning the improvements we want to make. First is interior paint. We went and picked out paint samples today. Everything so far is going smoothly. We are also going to get new coffee table and end tables for the living room, as well as, new nightstands for our bedroom. I am just hoping we can get it all done by the time we need to move so that we won't have to be painting after we move in.

Reason # 589,258,145,389 I hate insurance companies...
They somehow got such an ego that they now tell YOUR DOCTOR that your child does not need a certain medication that YOUR DOCTOR (the one that went to med school and has seen your children in person and knows their medical conditions) deems necessary.
grrrrrrrrrr...

Explosions...
It is never a good thing when you hear your child scream with terror from another room, "MOOOOOOOOOOOOM, Come quick."
I run to the room (where Chase and Brodie have been playing). Brodie has a twisted up look on his face and is pointing at Chase.
Chase exploded.
Now, I like to think of myself as a seasoned Mom. But, this was the kind of explosion that I thought only happened in comedy movies. Apparently during their playtime Chase somehow got half his diaper undone...and then he decided he would have a poop session too. You get the idea.
I won't eve go into how long it took me to get it out from between his toes. And the carpet...well let's just say I am really glad we have carpet shampooer. Luckily, my morning sickness isn't too bad today or it could have been even more messy!

Quickly...
Things are moving along quickly. We have found a house that we are going to move in this summer. This is a huge relief, but we are cautious as we still have to deal with the house we are in. We are praying the timing of everything works out. The new house is just what we were looking for and we were able to negotiate a lot with it.
My morning sickness is still kicking my butt and is totally unpredictable. I am completely wiped out, so I am off to throw a load of laundry in the washer and watch a movie with the boys. Jason is over at the neighbors for a UFC party so I may even go to bed early.

Being an adult sucks sometimes...
The downside of Jason's new job is of course that we will be moving. It was hard decision for us to make. We are settled in this area and have friends and such. We love our church (we will still be driving over for church for the time being) and we know many of our neighbors. Brodie and Austin love playing with the girls next door, in fact Brodie is over there right now. When our sign went up in our yard the other day announcing to the neighborhood that this house was going to be available soon we got MANY knocks on the door. Our neighbors next door were saddest of all.
We could have gotten a bigger house in this area...so the new baby wasn't a factor. What was the biggest factor was that I am selfish. Since we moved to the Dallas area we have always lived VERY close to Jason's work (walking distance). I like having him home at a decent time every night. I like that if I need him he can be home in 2 minutes. I like that when he gets off work he doesn't still have a 30 minute commute. We value our family life more than anything. So...that is why we are moving. Granted, we are moving less than 20 miles away and will still be in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It is still a big change.
One of the girls who lives next door just turned five....I love what she said to her mom about our move.
"We may no longer be living near each other, but we will always be together in Christ." Blew me away.
